Ontem foi a abertura da exposição “Todas as faces de Maria”, que homenageia a generosa e alegre Maria Laurinda grande referência capixaba na luta e resistência da mulher negra.
Maria Laurinda, nascida em 3 de junho de 1943 na Comunidade Quilombola de Monte Alegre, Distrito de Pacotuba, município de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, sul do Espírito Santo. Mãe solteira enfrentou o preconceito e o abandono da própria família, sem se deixar vencer pelas dificuldades. Como parteira, coveira, mestra de Caxambu, mãe de santo, líder comunitária, mãe e avó, Maria Laurinda está sempre à frente nas lutas por melhores condições de vida para sua gente.
A exposição é composta por registros fotográficos feitos dos últimos seis anos Maria em seu cotidiano e também documentário produzido em 2012 que mostra o dia a dia da caxambuzeira.
Para quem deseja conhecer mais da cultura capixaba, da resistência negra, da luta de uma mulher referência no Estado ainda há tempo, pois a visitação será até o dia 1º de dezembro.
