Tenente-Coronel do Exército Brasileiro é a primeira mulher militar brasileira a comandar uma base militar da ONU.

A tenente-coronel Andréa Firmo comandará o Team Site Tifarity , uma das nove bases militares da MINURSO ( Missão das Nações Unidas para o Referendo do Saara Ocidental), cujos comandantes, atualmente são todos homens.

As bases,  são compostas de Observadores Militares das Nações Unidas, os quais monitoram o cessar fogo naquela região.

A solenidade de passagem de comando será no dia 10 de setembro.
