Na Espanha mulheres são maioria no governo

Novo premiê da Espanha nomeia gabinete com maioria de mulheres. É a primeira vez na história do pais que as mulheres assumem a maioria dos postos  de comando do governo.

O novo primeiro-ministro da Espanha, Pedro Sánchez, nomeou seu gabinete nesta quarta-feira (7), com mulheres assumindo a maioria dos postos no topo do governo pela 1ª vez na história do país.

O socialista Sánchez chegou ao poder na sexta-feira após uma improvável aliança de partidos nacionalistas e antiausteridade apoiar sua tentativa de destituir o conservador Mariano Rajoy por conta de um escândalo de corrupção envolvendo o Partido Popular.

O Partido Socialista possui somente 84 dos 350 assentos no Parlamento, mas, ainda assim, Sánchez fez suas nomeações predominantemente de dentro de seu próprio partido PSOE.

Ele rejeitou, por exemplo, os pedidos para ceder espaço no governo para o partido de extrema-esquerda Podemos, que com 67 assentos e que foi um apoiador-chave da moção de desconfiança contra Rajoy.

“[O novo gabinete] é pró-igualdade de gênero, intergeracional, aberto ao mundo, mas ancorado na União Europeia”, afirmou Sánchez.

Entre as mulheres de alto escalão nomeadas estão a leal socialista Carmen Calvo, que se torna vice-primeira-ministra; a diretora-geral orçamentária da Comissão Europeia, Nadia Calvino, nomeada ministra da Economia; e a procuradora estadual Dolores Delgado, que se torna ministra da Justiça.

Profissões variadas

Sánchez escolheu de uma ampla variedade de profissões. Ele selecionou um astronauta como ministro da Ciência, uma procuradora estadual especializada na acusação de ataques jihadistas como ministra da Justiça e um negociador do tratado de mudanças climáticas como ministro do Meio Ambiente.

“Todos são altamente qualificados e trazem uma vocação para serviço público e refletem o melhor da Espanha”, disse Sánchez a repórteres nesta quarta-feira.

Desafios do novo governo

Com o Parlamento fragmentado, grandes mudanças políticas serão difíceis de ser alcançadas por Sánchez, mas vitórias rápidas sobre propostas populares e consensuais podem permitir que ele continue no cargo ou possivelmente vença uma eleição antecipada se o governo não conseguir durar até o final de seu mandato planejado, em 2020.

Um de seus maiores desafios será a reconstrução de relações com a região da Catalunha, no nordeste do país, que realizou um referendo separatista sobre independência no ano passado que culminou na imposição de governo direto por Madri.

Sánchez deve permanecer firme no apoio de seu partido à unidade espanhola, considerando a Constituição do país, mas mesmo assim abrir linhas de comunicação para reparar relações com o governo renomeado da região, que permanece ferozmente pró-independência.

Ele nomeou dois catalães para cargos no gabinete, embora sua escolha do vocal pró-unidade ex-presidente do Parlamento Europeu Josep Borrell como ministro das Relações Exteriores tenha irritado separatistas.
