MAIRA RANZEIR

Primeira mulher negra campeã brasileira de tênis de mesa.Todo final de semana, ela jogava ping-pong de mesa no clube em que frequentava com a família. Aos 15 anos, tornou-se a primeira negra campeã brasileira de tênis de mesa. Começava ali o início de uma história marcada por desafios, derrotas, vitórias, ativismo social e de muita representatividade.

Maira Ranzeiro é bicampeã latino-americana, atual campeã brasileira, primeira do ranking e melhor do ano de 2017. A atleta,aos 30 anos, decidiu colocar em um livro infantil suas “escrevivências”.

Trajetória:

“Comecei a jogar aos 11 anos. Com 15 anos, eu me tornei a primeira negra campeã brasileira de tênis de mesa. Hoje, 15 anos depois eu sou a atual campeã brasileira, primeira do ranking. Aos 30 anos, com uma outra cabeça, eu consigo perceber a importância dessa conquista, como é importante o lance da representatividade. Aos 15 anos eu não conseguia ter tanta noção. Hoje eu consigo entender mais a importância dessas conquistas enquanto mulher negra”, constata.

Suas principais fontes de inspiração são  no esporte são as Irmãs Williams (dupla de ténis formada pelas irmãs estadunidenses Serena Williams e Venus Williams) e na Daiane dos Santos. Sem ser no esporte, Maira inspira-se nomes de peso. “Dona Ivone Lara, Jovelina, Clementina, Carolina Maria de de Jesus, minha mãe, minhas avós, todas essas mulheres que abriram caminhos para gente pode estar aqui. Me inspiro nessa ancestralidade feminina negra”, afirma.

Ser atleta é tarefa difícil para a maioria dos esportistas. Para driblar as dificuldades como a falta de apoio financeiro, Maira se desdobra em outras atividades.  “A questão financeira é desafiadora no esporte porque precisa realmente de muito mais apoio. Sou atleta, sempre dei aula, sou musicista/percussionista e terminei de escrever o livro infantil. É isso, né, além de atleta faço outras coisas.”

Resultado de imagem para MAIRA RANZEIROA ideia do livro, segundo a atleta, veio da necessidade de propagar suas conquistas com o objetivo de incentivar o maior número de pessoas possíveis, transformando o livro em um agente de transformação, motivação e inspiração. “Meu principal objetivo com a publicação desse livro é mostrar para as crianças, principalmente as crianças negras, para as meninas negras, que elas podem tudo. É popularizar o esporte, é abrir caminho, é mostrar os benefícios do esporte. No livro, eu também coloco a importância do apoio da família. Como é um livro baseado em uma história real – a minha história – é protagonizado por uma menina negra, a Mairinha”, conclui.
