Catadora vai à formatura carregando as latinhas que pagaram sua faculdade na Paraíba.

A paraibana Luciene Gonçalves, 35 anos, conseguiu pagar os quatro anos do curso de serviço social em uma faculdade particular de Souza, no sertão da Paraíba, com o dinheiro arrecadado da venda de latinhas de alumínio.

A conquista serve de inspiração para as filhas que estão concluindo o ensino médio. O segredo para a vitória foi não perder tempo reclamando dos problemas da vida. “E eu sempre digo ao meu marido que não reclame, pois quem reclama não sai da lama”, disse a sucateira.

Ela entrou na faculdade junto com o marido, Pedro Filemon, 35 anos, também sucateiro e que escolheu estudar administração, após Luciene insistir para que ele participasse da seleção.

“Eu tinha que ser alguém na vida, não ser só sucateira, mas ter um curso superior pra dar exemplo para as minhas filhas. Tem gente que trabalha em escritório e diz que não tem tempo para estudar. Eu trabalho dentro da sujeira e pra mim não faltou garra para terminar meus estudos. Tem gente que reclama de barriga cheia”, afirma Luciene.

Luciene largou os estudos para trabalhar e ajudar a família. Dez anos depois de concluir o ensino médio, ela voltou para a sala de aula. “Serviço Social foi feito pra mim. Eu gosto muito de ajudar as pessoas. E depois que entrei no curso e fiz estágios, tive a certeza de que aquilo foi feito para mim”, diz.

Quando estava prestes a terminar o curso, o pai de Luciene ficou doente e ela era única pessoa que poderia acompanhá-lo na hemodiálise 3 vezes por semana.

“Às vezes chegava na sala de aula chorando, mas também amigas que foram como irmãs, que me apoiaram. Essa foi a época mais difícil, pois ocorreu quando eu já estava fazendo meu trabalho de conclusão de curso”, lembra Luciene.

No baile de formatura, ela decidiu homenagear o marido, que abriu mão de participar da comemoração. Luciene entrou no baile carregando latinhas e as imagens da festa emocionaram os internautas. “Eu quis homenagear e confesso que estou um pouco surpresa com a repercussão que está tendo”, conta.
