Futebol Feminino

Quando jogava no Santos, Neymar chegou a ganhar R$1,5 milhão mensais, o mesmíssimo valor que bancaria o time de futebol feminino do clube por um ano inteiro. Ainda assim, sob a justificativa de não conseguir bancá-lo, o Santos encerrou a equipe feminina em 2012. Na época, o então presidente do clube justificou que as mulheres não atraíam interesse televisivo e consequentemente patrocinadores, tornando inviável a manutenção do time.

O que nunca foi inviável no Brasil foi o futebol masculino.  Esse sim, o esporte nacional. O que foi eliminado com 7×1 na Copa do Mundo em casa, o que sequer passou da fase de grupos na última Copa América, o que quase passou um vexame nas Olimpíadas do Rio e por muito pouco não se classificou para a próxima fase. Para esse nunca faltou dinheiro, não interessa o resultado apresentado em campo.

As mulheres, ao contrário, sempre tiveram que se provar e fazer o melhor possível com a migalha destinada a elas. Com sorte, ganham um pouco de mídia nos jogos da seleção, mas ninguém nem sabe em que times elas jogam quando não vestem a amarelinha.

Na Olimpíada do Rio não foi diferente. Quando a seleção milionária apresentou um futebol nada convincente os olhares se voltaram para elas, que ganharam com tranquilidade os primeiros jogos da competição. Foram dias de glória para o futebol feminino: todo mundo reconhecia a garra das meninas, que não desistiam de jogar futebol apesar da falta de incentivo e das incontáveis adversidades. Camisetas com os nomes das mulheres que finalmente tinham a torcida e a mídia incentivando. Ainda que continuássemos sem saber o que elas fazem em todo o resto do ano.

Mas bastou a derrota para que o teatro ruísse. Milton Neves, por algum motivo um dos jornalistas esportivos com mais visibilidade do país, destilou comentários preconceituosos, sexistas e estereotipados sobre as meninas instantes após a derrota pelos pênaltis.

Infelizmente, Milton Neves não está sozinho, por mais incrível que pareça. É um pensamento ainda muito enraizado o de que futebol ‘de verdade’ é o masculino, como se isso fosse natural e não construído. Como se o fato de um gênero inteiro ser oficialmente impedido de praticar uma modalidade enquanto o outro recebe injeções bilionárias não influenciasse como vemos um esporte. No Brasil, um Decreto-Lei de 1941 proibiu a prática de esportes “incompatíveis com as condições da natureza” da mulher – onde o futebol se incluía. A proibição só caiu em 1979 e as primeiras equipes de mulheres só surgiram na década de 80. É simplesmente impossível comparar o mundo da bola para elas e para eles.

Dizer que futebol feminino não tem graça é um desrespeito à história, uma afronta a todos os obstáculos que nós mulheres sempre tivemos que enfrentar para fazer qualquer coisa. Proibição institucional, falta de estrutura e incentivo e, consequentemente, pouco interesse de público e mercado. Soma-se a isso tabus e estereótipos sobre as mulheres e o machismo nosso de cada dia. E ainda assim, nossa seleção feminina consegue figurar entre as mais competitivas do mundo. Elas já fazem MUITO mais do que seria sua obrigação. E quando derrotadas ainda têm que ouvir que o seu trabalho vale menos do que o mesmíssimo trabalho realizado por homens.

A verdade é que nós, como um todo, não merecemos a seleção feminina de futebol que temos. Nunca fizemos por merecer ter a melhor jogadora do mundo por 5 vezes (Marta). Ou a maior artilheira da história das Olimpíadas (Cristiane). Ou ainda a atleta com o maior número de participações olímpicas pelo Brasil (Formiga). São soldados solitárias numa guerra que ainda não dá para vencer.

As palavras de Milton Neves mostram que não há o menor constrangimento em rebaixar o esporte praticado por mulheres. O futebol é paixão nacional e é feito por homens e para homens. Não poderia simbolizar mais um país.
