Operação Gratuita

A triagem para as 200 cirurgias de gigantomastias (redução em seios gigantes), que serão realizadas no Hospital da Mulher, no bairro Jardim Cruzeiro, em Feira de Santana, a partir de fevereiro do próximo ano, está marcada para o dia 29, na própria instituição. As senhas serão distribuídas à medida que as interessadas na intervenção cheguem. Será feita pelo cirurgião plástico Cesar Kelly. Será a quinta vez que o hospital oferece este tipo de cirurgia. A triagem será válida para 2016.

Gilberte Lucas, diretora-presidente da Fundação Hospitalar de Feira de Santana, entidade mantenedora do Hospital da Mulher, informa que apenas serão submetidas à cirurgia a mulher que vem enfrentando problemas de saúde devido ao tamanho dos seios. “São pessoas cujos seios pesam a partir de cinco quilos”. Cirurgias estéticas não serão feitas. Os procedimentos serão custeados pelo SUS.

Ela disse que no ano passado mais de 300 mulheres se inscreveram, mas 120 delas o perfil não estavam conforme o protocolo. As cirurgias serão realizadas ao longo do próximo ano. A triagem será o primeiro contato entre o médico e as pacientes, que farão os exames complementares e, à medida que os concluam, serão chamadas para a intervenção.

Elas terão que obedecer algumas condicionantes, como residir em Feira de Santana, maiores de 18 anos, comprovadamente não ter condição financeira para se submeter à cirurgia, ter filhos – além dos seis pesarem mais cinco quilos. Gilbete Lucas disse que o serviço social do Hospital da Mulher vai aos endereços fornecidos pelas mulheres para confirmar ou não as informações passadas por elas. “Mas será a avaliação médica que vai definir se a pessoa tem ou não o perfil para ser submetida à cirurgia”.
