O feminino no candomblé

Na Umbanda e no Candomblé, as figuras femininas marcam presença com sua personalidade forte, beleza, vaidades, senso de justiça e amor incondicionais. O orixá Iansã, por exemplo, é uma das figuras mais populares no Brasil e na África, pois é o único que se relaciona com os espíritos dos mortos, conhecidos por Eguns. No sincretismo religioso, costuma ser associada à figura católica de Santa Bárbara. Iansã costuma ser saudada após os trovões. Isso porque é uma das mais apaixonadas amantes de Xangô, e o senhor da Justiça não atingiria quem se lembrasse do nome da amada.

Além disso, é senhora do vento e da tempestade; sabe amar e gosta de mostrar seu amor e sua alegria contagiantes, da mesma maneira que demonstra sua raiva. Iansã é também a divindade do rio Níger ou Oiá, como chama os africanos. A seguir, confira outras características desse orixá e de outras que fazem parte do universo feminino da cultura africana.

Iansã

Foi esposa de Ogum e a mais importante mulher de Xangô. É irrequieta, autoritária, mas sensual, de temperamento muito forte, dominador e impetuoso. Não gosta dos afazeres domésticos. É extremamente sensual, apaixona-se com freqüência e é conhecida também pela multiplicidade de parceiros. Iansã é a Senhora dos Eguns (espírito dos mortos) e os controla com um rabo de cavalo chamado Eruexim. As pessoas que são de Iansã são guerreiras, alegres, audaciosas, sensuais, autoritárias e comunicativas. Gostam ainda de viajar, tendem à depressão, ciúmes excessivos e à inquietude.

Nanã

Considerado o orixá mais antigo do mundo, usa roupas que parecem banhadas em sangue. Ela mata uma cabra sem usar faca e é detentora de um cajado. As pessoas ditas de Nanã são conservadoras e presas aos padrões convencionais estabelecidos pelos homens. São indivíduos que, na essência, são calmos e podem mudar de comportamento rapidamente. Na mesma velocidade, se transformam em guerreiras, agressivas, e se tornam perigosas, o que pode assustar quem está a sua volta. Majestosas e seguras de suas ações, procuram sempre o caminho da sabedoria e da justiça.

Oxum

O orixá mora no rio Oxum. É senhora da fertilidade, da gestação e do parto. Mantém suas características de adolescente e de uma jovem mãe. No momento que Orumilá criava o mundo, escolheu Oxum para ser a protetora das crianças e responsável por zelar pelos pequeninos, desde o momento da concepção. É também a mais bela das divindades. As pessoas regidas por ela são graciosas e elegantes, com formas voluptuosas e sensuais, com aparência graciosa e sedutora, ao mesmo tempo. Expressam um desejo forte de ascensão social.

Oba

É a senhora da sociedade lesse-orixá e uma das três esposas de Xangô, o qual resolveu transformá-la em um rio revolto, após um momento de ira. Tudo relacionado à Oba, inclusive, está envolto em um clima de mistério. É mulher valente, mística, de bons costumes, porém, grosseira. As pessoas que são regidas pelo orixá são envolventes, sedutoras, de temperamento forte e agressivo. Mas, também são muito objetivas e sabem o que querem.

Iemanjá

É um dos mais cultuados orixás no Brasil. A dona dos mares ou deusa dos oceanos é homenageada por seus seguidores, principalmente os que têm a água como seu agente de sua sobrevivência, como pescadores, marinheiros e barqueiros. No Brasil, ela é representada como uma sereia de cabelos longos e pretos. Todos os anos, devotos lançam oferendas ao mar, como flores brancas, colares, metais e outros objetos.A mulher de Iemanjá é aquela que todo homem gostaria de encontrar e ter ao seu lado, por ser meiga, delicada, donas de casa e de uma beleza harmoniosa. Porém, por trás dessa aparência inocente, pode surgir uma pessoa vingativa e ciumenta, capaz de manter um relacionamento paralelo apenas para magoar o seu companheiro. As mulheres que não conseguem engravidar recorrem a ela por ser controladora da fertilidade, função simbolizada pelo seu corpo robusto, forte, com seios volumosos e sensualidade. É a mãe das mulheres e protetora dos homens ao mar, dando-lhes águas calmas.
